Understanding user access
The access privileges that a user has depends on the role of the user.
Not sure which role your user has been assigned?
When you are logged in to the Administrator tool, you can see the profile settings in the top right corner.
Roles
An iCCS user can be either an Administrator or a Developer.
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Administrator | Can view tracking data in the iCore system, and manually create system events. |
| Developer | Can develop integrations in the iCore system, and has access to all iCore tools. |
iCore Tools
A user with the Developer role has access to the following tools.
| Tool | Description |
|---|---|
| Adapterflow Wizard | Create and edit Adapterflows through a number of simple steps. The Adapterflow Wizard is accessed via the Administrator tool. |
| Build Component tool | Compile Component definitions directly from the Command Prompt. |
| Developer | A Script-based development tool that lets you implement advanced integration logic. |
| Script Code Generation Tool | A tool that lets you speed up Script development by automatically generating Script code based on a number of code generator definitions. |
| Run Component tool | Lets you execute a Component definition – a definition of a Script, an Adapterflow or a Workflow – on an iCore machine without interfering with the running iCore system. |
| Import Export tool | Import and export entities to and from an iCore system. |
| Workflow Designer | Create and edit Component definitions of type Workflow. |
| Web API Editor | An editor used to create and edit Web APIs. |

This section lists the privileges associated with each user role. R = read, E = Edit, C = create, D = delete.
